VehicleAbout
The 1961 Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato is a highly revered grand tourer, renowned for its stunning design and exceptional performance. Designed by Ercole Spada of Zagato, it boasts a sleek, lightweight body crafted from aluminum, featuring Perspex windows to reduce weight. The car is powered by a 3.7-liter inline-six engine, producing 314 BHP at 6000 RPM and 278 Ft-Lbs of torque at 5400 RPM. It features a four-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive. Only 19 DB4 GT Zagatos were produced between 1960 and 1963, making it one of the rarest Aston Martin models. The car's design combines elegance with performance, offering a top speed of approximately 154 mph and accelerating from 0-60 mph in about six seconds. Its interior includes traditional Aston elements like a wooden Nardi steering wheel and Connolly leather. Despite its racing ambitions, the DB4 GT Zagato did not fully meet expectations, but it remains an iconic and highly valued collector's item.
