The 1970 Buick GSX is a high-performance muscle car renowned for its powerful V8 engine and distinctive styling. It was built on the Buick Skylark platform and featured a 455 cubic-inch V8 engine, which was available in two main configurations: the base model with 350 horsepower and the Stage 1 package that boosted power to 360 horsepower, though actual performance was often reported higher. The GSX was designed to stand out with its bold color schemes, including Saturn Yellow and Apollo White, complemented by racing stripes and a prominent rear spoiler. The GSX came equipped with a close-ratio four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction rear axle, ensuring efficient power delivery.
