Ana Peleteiro-Compaoré Ana Peleteiro-Compaoré Brión, born on December 2, 1995, in A Coruña, Spain, is a distinguished Spanish triple jumper and the current national record holder. She has achieved significant success in her career with a gold medal at the 2019 European Athletics Indoor Championships and another gold at the 2024 European Championships. Additionally, she won bronze medals at the 2018 World Indoor Championships and the 2018 European Championships. At the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, Ana earned a bronze medal while setting a Spanish national record with a jump of 14.87 meters. Recognized early in her career for her potential, she received the Best Young Athlete award from the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation in 2011. Peleteiro comes from a diverse background; she was born to an African father and Spanish mother but was adopted by a Spanish family as an only child. She is married to French triple jumper Benjamin Compaoré, with whom she has a daughter born in December 2022. Standing at approximately 1.71 meters tall and competing primarily for Spain in international athletics competitions, Ana continues to be ranked among the top female triple jumpers globally and maintains an active presence on major athletics stages.
