Andre Ward is a former professional boxer known for his undefeated record of 32 wins and zero losses. Born on February 23, 1984, in Hayward, California, Ward began boxing in 1994 and quickly rose through the amateur ranks, winning the light heavyweight gold medal at the 2004 Olympics. He turned professional later that year and went on to capture multiple world titles in two weight classes: super middleweight and light heavyweight. Ward's professional career was marked by significant victories over top fighters like Sergey Kovalev, Carl Froch, and Chad Dawson. He won the Super Six World Boxing Classic and was named Fighter of the Year by The Ring and the Boxing Writers Association of America in 2011. Ward retired in 2017, widely regarded as the world's best active boxer pound-for-pound. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2021, cementing his legacy as one of boxing's greatest champions.
