Annabelle Annabelle is a haunted doll that gained notoriety through the investigations of paranormal researchers Ed and Lorraine Warren. The story began in 1970 when a nurse received a Raggedy Ann doll. The doll was believed to be possessed by a demon that preyed on the sympathy of young women. This sinister history inspired a series of horror films, including "Annabelle" (2014), which tells the story of a couple terrorized by supernatural occurrences involving a vintage doll after their home is invaded by satanic cultists. The doll is now housed in an occult museum in Connecticut.
