The Annapurna Circuit is a renowned hiking route in the Himalayas, offering a diverse and immersive trekking experience. It spans approximately 160 to 230 kilometers, depending on the route taken, and typically takes 15 to 20 days to complete. The trek begins in the subtropical regions near Besisahar and concludes in the Kali Gandaki Gorge, near Pokhara. It features a wide range of landscapes, from lush forests and terraced fields to high alpine meadows and arid valleys like Mustang. The circuit encircles the Annapurna Massif, providing breathtaking views of several high-altitude peaks, including Annapurna I-IV, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre. The highest point is Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters, which offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The trek also offers cultural experiences, passing through villages with diverse ethnic groups like the Gurung, Manangi, and Thakali communities.
