Bighorn National Forest, located in northern Wyoming, spans over 1.1 million acres and is one of the oldest national forests in the U.S., established in 1897. It features a diverse landscape with elevations ranging from 5,500 to 13,167 feet at Cloud Peak, the highest point in the Bighorn Mountains. The forest includes the Cloud Peak Wilderness, offering pristine natural conditions accessible only by foot or horseback.
