Bombay Sapphire
SpiritAbout
Bombay Sapphire is an iconic gin known for its distinctive blue bottle. Launched in 1986 by International Distillers & Vintners, it is named after the Star of Bombay, a sapphire gem from Sri Lanka. The gin contains ten hand-selected botanicals, including juniper, coriander, and cubeb berries, which are vapour-infused to capture their vibrant flavours. Produced using a technique called vapour infusion, Bombay Sapphire is now distilled at Laverstoke Mill in England. The brand has expanded to include various flavoured gins, such as Star of Bombay and Bombay London Dry Gin. With its complex and smooth taste, Bombay Sapphire is a popular choice for crafting exceptional mixed drinks. It is currently owned by Bacardi and remains a top-tier gin globally.
