Christian Coleman is an American professional track and field sprinter, renowned for his exceptional speed in the 100m and 200m events. Born on March 6, 1996, in Atlanta, Georgia, Coleman grew up in a family that valued sports, with his father being a freelance sports journalist. This environment inspired him to pursue athletics, following in the footsteps of his sister who competed in track events. Coleman attended Our Lady of Mercy Catholic High School, where he excelled in both track and football, setting impressive records in the 100m and 200m dashes. Coleman's collegiate career at the University of Tennessee was marked by numerous achievements, including winning multiple NCAA titles. He holds personal bests of 9.76 seconds in the 100m and 19.85 seconds in the 200m. Coleman is also the world indoor record holder for the 60m dash with a time of 6.34 seconds.
