About

The CR400BF is a high-speed train developed by CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles, part of China's Fuxing series. It operates at a cruise speed of 350 km/h and has a maximum speed of 420 km/h, making it one of the fastest conventional high-speed trains in regular service. The train is designed with a width of 3,360 mm and a height of 4,050 mm, featuring a standard gauge of 1,435 mm. Its traction system utilizes water cooling IGBT-VVVF inverter control, powered by external sector 3-phase AC induction motors. The CR400BF comes in various configurations, including the standard 8-car model and longer versions like the 16-car CR400BF-A and the 17-car CR400BF-B. These variants offer different capacities, with the 8-car model seating fewer passengers compared to the longer versions. The train is equipped with advanced technology, including pantographs for power collection and a 25 kV 50 Hz AC overhead catenary system. Its high-speed capabilities and multiple configurations make it a versatile addition to China's rail network, enhancing both domestic and international transportation services.
