The band gained prominence with their 2000 single "Butterfly," which topped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and featured on their debut album, The Gift of Game. Crazy Town's music reflected the dynamic sociocultural environment of Los Angeles. The band has been associated with labels such as Suburban Noize Records, Columbia Records, and Epic Records. Seth Binzer, also known as Shifty Shellshock, the frontman of Crazy Town, passed away in 2024.
