David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are renowned American screenwriters and producers, best known for co-creating the epic HBO series Game of Thrones. Born as David Friedman, Benioff was raised in New York City and developed his writing skills through a BA from Dartmouth College, an MA from Trinity College Dublin, and an MFA from the University of California, Irvine[1][3]. He began his career as a novelist, publishing works like 25th Hour and City of Thieves. Benioff met Weiss while studying at Trinity College Dublin, and they collaborated on several projects before Game of Thrones[3].
