Ding Ning is a renowned Chinese table tennis player, born on June 20, 1990, in Daqing, Heilongjiang. She is celebrated as "The Queen of Hearts" and is one of China's most successful female paddlers. Ding's career spanned over two decades, marked by numerous achievements. She won three World Championships in singles (2011, 2015, 2017) and three World Cup titles (2011, 2014, 2018). Her Olympic accolades include gold medals in both singles and team events at the 2016 Rio Olympics, following a silver in singles and gold in the team event at the 2012 London Olympics. Ding Ning officially retired from professional table tennis in September 2021, after spending 26 years in the sport. Post-retirement, she pursued a Master's degree in Physical Education at Peking University. She has also become involved in roles that support athletes' career transitions, including a position on the Olympic Council of Asia Athletes' Committee. Known for her left-handed shakehand style, Ding held the world number one ranking multiple times, showcasing her dominance in the sport.
