Duran Duran Duran Duran is an iconic English pop rock band formed in Birmingham in 1978 by Nick Rhodes and John Taylor. Initially, the band included Stephen Duffy on vocals and bass. After several lineup changes, the classic formation solidified in 1980 with Simon Le Bon on vocals, Andy Taylor on guitar, and Roger Taylor on drums. Duran Duran rose to fame as part of the New Romantic scene, pioneering the use of music videos and contributing significantly to the MTV-driven Second British Invasion of the US in the 1980s. Their most notable hits include "Girls on Film," "Hungry Like the Wolf," "Rio," and "The Reflex." The band has sold over 100 million records worldwide and has won numerous awards, including two Grammys and two BRITs.
