Emmanuel Macron is a French politician and the current President of France, serving since 2017. Born on December 21, 1977, in Amiens, he studied philosophy and graduated from the École Nationale d'Administration (ENA). Macron's career began in finance, working as an investment banker and later as a managing partner at Rothschild & Co. He entered politics as Deputy Secretary-General of the Elysée under François Hollande and became Minister of Economy, Industry, and Digital Affairs in 2014. In 2016, he founded the centrist movement En Marche!, which he used to win the 2017 presidential election. Macron has been a pivotal figure in European politics, advocating for unity and climate action. He was re-elected in 2022, becoming the first French president in twenty years to secure a second term. During his presidency, Macron has led significant reforms and navigated France through crises like the COVID-19 pandemic and the Ukraine conflict. He has emphasized the importance of a sovereign and unified Europe, promoting key policies such as the Digital Services Act and the Green Deal.
