Europe Europe is a renowned Swedish rock band formed in 1979 in Upplands Väsby, initially named Force. The band's original lineup included Joey Tempest, John Norum, Peter Olsson, and Tony Reno. They gained a major breakthrough in Sweden by winning the "Rock-SM" competition in 1982. Their music is heavily influenced by British rock bands like Thin Lizzy, UFO, and Led Zeppelin. Europe rose to international fame with their third album, "The Final Countdown," released in 1986, which became a global hit. Over the years, Europe has released eleven studio albums and has sold over 25 million records worldwide. The band went on hiatus in 1992 but reunited in 2003. Since then, they have released several critically acclaimed albums, including "Start from the Dark," "Secret Society," and "Walk the Earth." Europe continues to tour globally, maintaining a strong fan base and evolving their sound to stay relevant in the music industry. They are set to perform at Starlite Marbella on July 8, 2025.
