Music duo

Eurythmics, a British music duo formed in 1980, consisted of Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart. They were previously part of The Tourists, which disbanded in 1980. Eurythmics gained global recognition with their second album, Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This), released in 1983. The title track became a worldwide hit, topping charts in the US and Canada. Their music often blended synth-pop and new wave elements, influencing the 1980s music scene. Eurythmics released several successful albums and singles, including "Here Comes the Rain Again," "Love Is a Stranger," and "There Must Be an Angel." They split in 1990 but reunited in 1999 to release Peace. Eurythmics have won numerous awards, including a Grammy and a Brit Award. They were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. With estimated sales of 75 million records worldwide, Eurythmics remain a significant force in pop music history.
