Farscape is an Australian-American science fiction television series that premiered in 1999. It was created by Rockne S. O'Bannon and produced by The Jim Henson Company and Hallmark Entertainment. The show follows astronaut John Crichton, who is transported through a wormhole to a distant part of the universe. There, he joins the crew of Moya, a living ship, and becomes embroiled in an intergalactic conflict involving the Peacekeepers and other alien species. The series features a diverse cast of characters, including Aeryn Sun, a former Peacekeeper, and Ka D'Argo, a Luxan warrior. The show is notable for its use of puppetry and makeup effects, courtesy of The Jim Henson Company, which brought alien characters like Rygel and Pilot to life.
