Friday the 13th: The Series
Tv showAbout
Friday the 13th: The Series is a horror television series that aired from October 3, 1987, to May 26, 1990. Despite sharing its name with the famous slasher film franchise, the show has no narrative connection to the movies. Instead, it focuses on the adventures of Micki Foster and Ryan Dallion, cousins who inherit an antique store called "Vendredi's Antiques" from their uncle, Lewis Vendredi. Lewis had made a pact with the devil to sell cursed antiques, but after breaking the deal, his soul was claimed, leaving Micki and Ryan to deal with the consequences. The series follows Micki, Ryan, and their friend Jack Marshak as they hunt down and retrieve the cursed antiques to prevent their dark powers from causing harm. Each episode typically features a new antique with unique abilities, often requiring a human sacrifice to activate its powers. The show blends horror and the occult, offering a mix of suspense and supernatural mystery. Despite its abrupt cancellation, Friday the 13th: The Series developed a loyal fan base for its engaging storytelling and memorable characters.
