Georges St-Pierre, commonly known as GSP, is a renowned Canadian former professional mixed martial artist. Born on May 19, 1981, in Saint-Isidore, Quebec, he rose to fame with his exceptional skills in various martial arts disciplines, including Kyokushin karate, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, and wrestling. St-Pierre's journey to the top was marked by rigorous training and determination, starting with karate at the age of seven to defend himself against bullying. He made his professional MMA debut in 2002 and quickly became a dominant force in the UFC. St-Pierre is celebrated for his achievements as a two-division champion, holding titles in both the welterweight and middleweight divisions. He won the UFC welterweight title multiple times and successfully defended it numerous times, setting records for consecutive title defenses. In 2017, he won the middleweight title by defeating Michael Bisping, becoming one of the few fighters to win titles in multiple weight classes. St-Pierre retired with a remarkable record of 26 wins and 2 losses, leaving behind a legacy as one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time.
