Gregory Martin Daniels, born on June 13, 1963, in New York City, is a renowned American screenwriter, television producer, and director. He is best known for his work on several iconic television series, including Saturday Night Live, The Simpsons, and King of the Hill. Daniels' career in comedy began early, influenced by Monty Python's Flying Circus and humorist S.J. Perelman. He attended Harvard University, where he befriended Conan O'Brien and began writing for the Harvard Lampoon. His first professional writing job was at Not Necessarily the News, though he was soon laid off due to budget cuts. Daniels' notable achievements include adapting The Office for the U.S. and co-creating Parks and Recreation. He has received numerous awards, including multiple Emmy nominations and wins.
