Jacques Celestin Songo'o is a former Cameroonian professional football goalkeeper born on 17 March 1964 in Sackbayeme, Cameroon. He had a distinguished career, playing for several clubs including Canon Yaoundé, Toulon, Le Mans, Metz, and Deportivo La Coruña. At Deportivo, he enjoyed significant success, winning the 1999–2000 La Liga title and the Ricardo Zamora Trophy in the 1996–97 season. Songo'o represented Cameroon at four World Cups, serving as the first-choice goalkeeper in 1998. He was also part of the Cameroon team at the 1984 Summer Olympics. After retiring, Songo'o became the goalkeeping coach for the Cameroon national team, a position he has held multiple times. His experience and expertise have been invaluable in developing goalkeepers for the national team. Currently, he continues to contribute to Cameroonian football as a coach.
