Jesus Christ
PersonJesus Christ is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in human history. Born in Bethlehem, Jesus was the son of Mary and Joseph, and was believed by his followers to be the Messiah, or savior, of the Jewish people. According to Christian doctrine, Jesus was born of a virgin and was fully human and fully divine, making him the only being capable of atoning for humanity's sins. Throughout his life, Jesus preached a message of love, forgiveness, and redemption, drawing large crowds and gaining many followers. He performed numerous miracles, including healing the sick, raising the dead, and feeding the hungry. Jesus' teachings emphasized the importance of living a life of compassion, humility, and service to others. He was eventually crucified by the Roman authorities, but his death and resurrection are seen by Christians as a demonstration of God's love and power, and are considered the foundation of their faith.
