Joe Biden is the 46th President of the United States, serving from 2021 to 2025. Born on November 20, 1942, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, he grew up in a working-class Irish Catholic family. Biden graduated from the University of Delaware and Syracuse University Law School. He began his political career on the New Castle County Council before being elected to the U.S. Senate in 1972, where he served for 36 years. As a senator, he focused on foreign relations and criminal law, chairing the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Biden's presidency was marked by significant efforts in climate change mitigation and international diplomacy. He signed the American Rescue Plan Act and reentered the Paris Agreement.
