Kate Jacoby is a renowned vegan pastry chef and co-owner of the celebrated Philadelphia restaurant Vedge. She studied French and Sociology at Georgetown University before joining her husband, Chef Rich Landau, at Horizons in 2001. This marked the beginning of her career in the culinary world, where she honed her pastry skills and developed a unique approach to vegan desserts. As a Certified Sommelier, Jacoby also oversees the wine program at Vedge, ensuring a harmonious pairing of drinks with the restaurant's innovative plant-based cuisine. Jacoby and Landau are pioneers in vegan fine dining, having authored several cookbooks and received numerous accolades, including recognition from the James Beard Foundation. They operate Ground Provisions, a sister restaurant in Chester County, and manage an organic farmette, Lost Glove Garden.
