Kenenisa Bekele is a renowned Ethiopian distance runner, born on June 13, 1982, near Bekoji, Ethiopia. He initially played football but soon transitioned to running, becoming one of the greatest distance runners in history. Bekele's career highlights include winning three Olympic gold medals and 11 World Cross-Country titles. He holds multiple world records in the 5,000m and 10,000m races, showcasing his dominance on the track. Bekele's achievements extend beyond track events; he has also excelled in marathons. He won the Paris Marathon in 2014 with a debut time of 2:05:04 and the Berlin Marathon in 2016 and 2019. His personal best in the marathon is 2:01:41, set in 2019.
