Kraftwerk is a German electronic music band formed in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider. They are widely regarded as pioneers of electronic music, known for their innovative use of synthesizers and drum machines. Albums like Autobahn (1974), Trans-Europe Express (1977), and The Man-Machine (1978) showcased their unique sound, which became influential in various genres. Kraftwerk's influence extends beyond electronic music, impacting synth-pop, hip-hop, and techno. They have inspired artists such as Daft Punk and Depeche Mode. Their visual aesthetic, characterized by minimalist design and futuristic imagery, has also influenced art and film.
