La Garagista Farm and Winery is located in Vermont's Green Mountains, specifically on Mount Hunger near the Chateauguay Forest. Founded by Deirdre Heekin and Caleb Barber, the winery began operations in 2010, building on their experience with a farm-to-table restaurant, Osteria Pane e Salute. La Garagista is renowned for its use of hybrid grape varieties, such as La Crescent, Marquette, and Frontenac Gris, which are well-suited to Vermont's cold climate.
