Sports eventAbout
The Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) is a prestigious international show jumping series that brings together the world's top riders and horses. Founded in 2006 by Olympic gold medalist Jan Tops, the tour includes up to 16 events annually, spanning continents such as Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Each stop features the LGCT Grand Prix, a highlight of the series with jumps set at 1.60 meters, offering significant prize money and the chance to secure a Golden Ticket for the LGCT Super Grand Prix. The tour culminates in the GC Playoffs, where riders compete for the overall championship title. With over €36 million in prize money, the LGCT is one of the richest equestrian sporting series globally. It combines high-level competition with iconic venues like Paris, Monaco, and Shanghai, offering fans a unique blend of athleticism and elegance. The series is governed by FEI rules but is not an official FEI series, allowing for a unique format that includes both individual and team competitions through its companion series, the Global Champions League.
