Malala Yousafzai

Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize laureate. Born on July 12, 1997, in Mingora, Swat Valley, Pakistan, Malala's early life was marked by the Taliban's efforts to ban girls from attending school. Her father, Ziauddin Yousafzai, ran a school in the area and encouraged Malala to speak out against the ban. She began writing a blog for the BBC in 2008, detailing her experiences and advocating for girls' education. Malala's advocacy work gained international attention, and she became a prominent figure in the fight for girls' education. On October 9, 2012, Malala was shot by the Taliban while she was on her way to school. The attack sparked widespread outrage and further cemented her status as a symbol of courage and resilience. Malala survived the attack and continued to advocate for girls' education, co-authoring the book "I Am Malala" with her father. In 2014, she became the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize, sharing the award with Indian children's rights activist Kailash Satyarthi.
