Michael Schur is a renowned American television producer, writer, director, and actor. Born on October 29, 1975, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, he began his career as a writer for NBC's "Saturday Night Live" from 1998 to 2004. During this period, he became the producer of "Weekend Update" and won his first Primetime Emmy Award in 2002. Following his stint at SNL, Schur joined "The Office" as a producer and writer, earning another Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series in 2006. He also appeared in the show as Mose Schrute, Dwight's cousin. Schur's notable works include co-creating "Parks and Recreation" and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," and creating "The Good Place," which is famous for its iconic twist.
