Naren Shankar is a renowned American writer, producer, and director in the television industry. Born on April 1, 1964, he holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. His career began as a writer and science consultant for Star Trek: The Next Generation, where he leveraged his scientific background to contribute to several episodes and serve as a science consultant. Shankar's notable works include co-showrunning The Expanse and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He has also contributed to Farscape, Grimm, and Almost Human.
