About

National Junior Basketball (NJB) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1984 by Dennis Murphy, Jr., a former coach at Garden Grove High School. It aims to develop youth basketball skills while emphasizing sportsmanship. NJB has grown into a national league with participants across several states, offering programs for grades K-12. The league includes divisions such as Rookie League for K-1st graders, Divisional Play for 2nd-8th graders, and High School Leagues for 9th-12th graders who didn't make their school teams. NJB's programs, like All-Net and BYT, provide advanced training and competitive play. The organization focuses on fostering teamwork, good sportsmanship, and player development. It offers year-round leagues, including summer, fall, winter, and spring programs. NJB's mission is to inspire youth through basketball, promoting health, citizenship, and character. With over a million participants, NJB continues to grow, offering opportunities for skill development and sportsmanship across the U.S.
