The Nikon D500 is a 20.9-megapixel professional DSLR camera featuring an APS-C sensor. It was announced in January 2016 and became Nikon's flagship DX-format DSLR, replacing the D300S. The D500 is renowned for its fast autofocus system, utilizing the Multi-CAM 20K module with 153 focus points, including 99 cross-type sensors. This system allows for rapid subject tracking, making it ideal for capturing fast-moving subjects in sports and wildlife photography. The camera offers robust build quality with a weather-sealed magnesium alloy body, making it suitable for harsh environments. It supports 4K UHD video recording and has dual memory card slots for SD and XQD/CFexpress cards. The D500 features a tilting 3.2-inch touchscreen LCD and a bright optical viewfinder with 100% frame coverage.
