Once Caldas
Sports teamAbout
Once Caldas is a professional Colombian football team based in Manizales, known for its significant achievements in both domestic and international competitions. The club was formed in 1961 through the merger of Deportes Caldas and Deportivo Manizales (also known as Once Deportivo). One of its most notable successes was winning the Copa Libertadores in 2004, becoming only the second Colombian team to achieve this feat after Atlético Nacional[1][2][3]. Once Caldas plays its home matches at Estadio Palogrande, which is known for its energetic atmosphere. The team has won the Colombian league, Categoría Primera A, four times. They are nicknamed "El Blanco" and are recognized for their strong performances at home. Despite struggling to replicate their 2004 success, Once Caldas remains a prominent figure in Colombian football, with a dedicated fan base and a rich history[1][2][3].
