Pedro de la Rosa is a renowned Spanish former racing driver, born on February 24, 1971, in Barcelona. He began his career in radio-controlled cars before transitioning to karting at age 17. De la Rosa won several championships in junior formulae, including the Spanish Formula Ford 1600 and British Formula Renault. His success led him to Formula 3, where he became the Spanish champion in 1994. De la Rosa's Formula 1 career spanned from 1999 to 2012, with 107 entries for teams like Arrows, Jaguar, McLaren, Sauber, and HRT. He scored 35 championship points, including a podium at the 2006 Hungarian Grand Prix. De la Rosa also excelled in Japanese motorsport, winning the Formula Nippon and All-Japan GT Championships in 1997. After retiring, he became a commentator and technical advisor, contributing to DS Techeetah's Formula E success. Since 2022, he has been a Global Ambassador for the Aston Martin Formula 1 team.
