Pegasus Airlines is a Turkish low-cost carrier established in December 1989 as a charter airline through a partnership between Net, Silkar, and Aer Lingus. It began operations in April 1990 with two Boeing 737-400s. The airline transitioned to a low-cost model in 2005 after being acquired by ESAS Holdings. Pegasus operates a modern fleet, including Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737-800 aircraft, offering affordable fares across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Pegasus Airlines serves over 125 destinations across 47 countries, with its main base at Istanbul's Sabiha Gökçen International Airport. The airline offers three travel classes: Business, Premium Economy, and Economy. It has codeshare agreements with major airlines like Delta, KLM, and Qatar Airways. Despite some challenges, Pegasus is known for its cost-effective flights and expanding network, making it a popular choice for budget-conscious travelers.
