Edson Arantes do Nascimento, commonly known as Pelé, is widely regarded as one of the greatest soccer players of all time. Born on October 23, 1940, in Três Corações, Brazil, Pelé began playing soccer at a young age and quickly demonstrated his exceptional skills. He joined the Brazilian youth team at the age of 15 and made his professional debut with Santos FC in 1956. Throughout his illustrious career, Pelé won numerous accolades, including three World Cup titles with Brazil in 1958, 1962, and 1970. He is the all-time leading scorer for Brazil, with 77 goals in 92 appearances. Pelé's impressive skills on the field, including his speed, agility, and shooting ability, earned him the nickname "O Rei" (The King). He is also a two-time Copa Libertadores winner and a three-time Brazilian Championship winner.
