It also showcases live music, children's activities, and pickle-themed merchandise. The festival's highlight is the pickle juice drinking competition, where contestants compete to down a quart of pickle juice the fastest. The winner is crowned the "Mayor of Picklesburgh." Picklesburgh has grown significantly, attracting over 200,000 attendees in recent years. It is organized by the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership and sponsored by Kraft Heinz. Admission is free, making it accessible to all. The event's popularity has earned it recognition as one of the best specialty food festivals in the United States.
