Quinton de Kock is a renowned South African cricketer born on December 17, 1992. He is celebrated as an aggressive opener and one of the finest wicket-keeper batsmen of his generation. De Kock made his first-class debut for Gauteng at just 16 years old in 2009. He later represented South Africa's Under-19 team in the 2012 ICC Under-19 World Cup. His international career began with a T20I debut against New Zealand in 2012, followed by ODI and Test debuts. De Kock is known for his impactful performances, including scoring centuries in all three formats of the game. He has been part of several franchises in the Indian Premier League (IPL), winning titles with Mumbai Indians. In 2023, he moved to the SA20 league with Durban Super Giants. De Kock was named Cricketer of the Year at Cricket South Africa's 2017 awards. He announced his retirement from ODIs after the 2023 World Cup, having made significant contributions to South African cricket throughout his career.
