Born on May 13, 1993, in Antwerp, Belgium, Lukaku began his youth career at Rupel Boom before joining Anderlecht's youth academy. He made his professional debut for Anderlecht in 2009 and quickly established himself as a prolific goal-scorer, winning the Belgian Pro League's Golden Shoe award in 2011. Lukaku's impressive form earned him a move to Chelsea in 2011, where he spent three seasons before joining Everton in 2014.
