Sagittarius
Sagittarius Sagittarius, often depicted as an archer or centaur holding a bow, is one of the prominent constellations in the Southern Hemisphere. Easily spotted with the naked eye due to its bright stars, it lies south of the celestial equator. The constellation is best viewed at night during the Northern Hemisphere's summer and the Southern Hemisphere's winter. Within Sagittarius lies Sagittarius A*, a supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way galaxy. Located over 25,000 light-years from Earth, it is a subject of intense astronomical study.
