The Sonoran Desert is a vast and arid region covering parts of southwestern Arizona, southeastern California, and northwestern Mexico, including the states of Sonora, Baja California, and Baja California Sur. The desert spans approximately 260,000 square kilometers, featuring broad valleys and small mountain ranges.
