The Soroa Orchid Garden is a breathtaking location nestled in the Sierra del Rosario Mountains, west of Havana, Cuba. Spanning 35,000 square meters, it was created by Tomás Felipe Camacho in 1943 as a tribute to his daughter. The garden features a diverse collection of over 700 species of orchids, including 250 native to Cuba, along with 70 species of exotic trees and about 300 ferns. Its lush environment fosters the growth of these delicate plants, making it a unique botanical site. Managed by the University of Pinar del Río, the garden serves as a research center for orchid conservation and reintroduction. Visitors can explore winding paths through a hillside landscape, admiring the vibrant orchids in greenhouses.
