Springtrap Springtrap is a prominent antagonist in the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise, particularly in Five Nights at Freddy's 3, where he is the sole animatronic capable of ending the player's game. This character is a decayed version of the Spring Bonnie suit and is possessed by William Afton, also known as the Purple Guy, a serial killer in the series' lore. Springtrap is a hybrid of a costume and animatronic, designed to be worn by humans, but with spring-loaded mechanisms inside.
