Steve Davis is a renowned English professional snooker player, born on August 22, 1957, in Plumstead, London. He was introduced to snooker by his father at the age of 12 and began practicing at the Lucania Snooker Club in Romford. Davis turned professional in 1978 and quickly rose to prominence with his technical brilliance and calm demeanor. His breakthrough came in 1980 with a significant win at the UK Championship, followed by his first World Championship title in 1981. Davis dominated the 1980s, winning six World Championships and establishing himself as the sport's preeminent player. He also won six UK Championships and three Masters titles.
