Sustainable Energy for All - Go Carbon Free

Concept

About

Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) is a global initiative dedicated to achieving universal access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy by 2030. It aligns with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7). The initiative emphasizes the urgent need for a just and equitable energy transition, moving away from high-carbon emission systems to sustainable net-zero emission systems. This includes scaling up renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy storage, particularly in communities impacted by energy poverty. The "Go Carbon Free" concept, closely related to the 24/7 Carbon-Free Energy Compact, aims to ensure that every kilowatt-hour of electricity is met with carbon-free sources every hour, every day. This transformative approach involves policy reform, technology advancement, and global cooperation. It encourages organizations to meet their full electricity demand with carbon-free resources, supporting a net-zero future. SEforALL works with governments, companies, and other stakeholders to drive systemic change, ensuring clean and affordable energy for all.
