Sweden's Digital Agenda
ConceptAbout
Sweden's Digital Agenda embodies an innovative approach to digital governance, focusing on creating a sustainable future. This agenda is deeply intertwined with the country's commitment to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, ensuring that digital transformation supports environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable development. Key initiatives include the "Digital First" program, which aims to improve digital infrastructure, enhance governance, and promote smart digital services across various sectors. This program involves seven pilot agencies working on open data, data maturity, and open innovation. The agenda also includes significant investments in digital healthcare, with a vision to be a world leader in eHealth by 2025. Sweden's digital healthcare services have seen rapid growth, with electronic health records and telemedicine becoming integral parts of the healthcare system. Additionally, Sweden aims to expand broadband connectivity, with targets for high-speed access across the country. These efforts are supported by strong collaboration between government agencies, local authorities, and private sectors, ensuring a cohesive and inclusive digital transformation process.
