Founded by Croatian immigrants Nikola Budrovich, Frano Kosta, and Antonio Gasparich, it initially operated as a tent on Long Wharf, serving coffee and grilled fish. Over the years, it evolved into a full-service restaurant, named after John Tadich, who bought the establishment in 1887. The restaurant has endured through significant events, including the 1906 earthquake and World War II. Located in San Francisco's Financial District, Tadich Grill is renowned for its traditional seafood dishes, such as cioppino and crab Louie.
