Tarkan Tevetoğlu, known professionally as Tarkan, is a renowned Turkish pop singer and songwriter. Born on October 17, 1972, in Alzey, West Germany, he was raised in Turkey. Tarkan's music career began in the early 1990s with his debut album Yine Sensiz in 1992. He gained international recognition with his hit song "Şımarık" (also known as "Kiss Kiss"), which became a global phenomenon and marked a significant milestone in his career. Tarkan is celebrated for his energetic live performances and has been compared to Elvis Presley in terms of his impact on Turkish music. He has released several successful albums, including Aacayipsin, Ölürüm Sana, and Metamorfoz. Tarkan's ability to achieve chart success without singing in English is notable, and he has been recognized as a key figure in European pop music. With over 15 million albums sold, he has won numerous awards, including the World Music Award. Tarkan is also involved in social projects and has been married to Pınar Dilek since 2016.
